Matt Troja is an American producer, engineer, mixer, and songwriter who has lived and worked in Nashville, Los Angeles, New Orleans, and Prague.  A graduate of Berklee College of Music (1999), he has worked in many of the best and most famous American studios, including: Blackbird Studios (Nashville), Cherokee Studios (Los Angeles), Interscope Records Studio (Los Angeles), Quad Studios (Nashville), Piety Street Studios (New Orleans), and OmniSound Studios (Nashville).

 

Matt has worked with Grammy award-winning artists such as Keith Urban and Brent Mason, Grammy-nominated artists such as James Otto and Suzy Bogguss, and numerous gold and platinum-selling artists including Sara Evans, Billy Dean, and The Gatlin Brothers, among many, many others. He records and mixes in multiple genres including rock, pop, country, jazz, blues, dance and hip hop, and has worked with award-winning producers such as Dann Huff (Bon Jovi, Michael Jackson), Craig King (Ray Charles, Kanye West), Mark Bingham (R.E.M., John Scofield), Dave Fortman (Evanescence, Godsmack) and Monty Powell (Keith Urban, Diamond Rio).

 

As a performer, Matt has toured in the US and Europe, and has played in front of crowds as large as 50,000 people. As a live sound engineer, he worked with such diverse artists as Allen Toussaint, Nickleback, Lisa Loeb, D12, Oteil Burbridge (Allman Brothers Band), and the Rebirth Brass Band. He is a member of ASCAP (American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers) whose songs have been recorded by several artists, and his productions and recordings have appeared in major US television programs and commercials.
